International Day Of Recycling
This May 17th is the International Day of Recycling. It’s an excellent opportunity to publicise how important it is for each one of us to contribute to the reutilization of inorganic waste.
Recycling is the only way to prolong the life of materials and avoid the depletion of our natural resources, actively participating in the conservation of our environment. For Families and Industries who still do not recycle, this is an ideal opportunity to stimulate our minds and realise the importance of recycling for the future of our environment and our way of life.
The original symbol of recycling was created in 1970 by Gary Anderson for a competion organised by The Container Corporation of America (CCA). They required a graffic symbol that would be used on all recycled paper products. The symbol is inspired by a Móbius Circle. Each one of its three arrows represent a step in the process of recycling; collection of waste, recycling and the business of recycled products generating an unending continuous cycle.
Recycling is Creation.
