Nature has its limits

We know that the resources the Earth can provide us with are limited and that the majority of the activities carried out by human beings have a negative impact on it. However, it is more than likely we are unaware that, according to the Living Planet report by the WWF, man’s use of the Earth’s resources is already at more than 25% of the planet’s regenerative capacity. If this continues, by 2050 humanity will be using double the amount of the Earth’s natural resources.

Moreover, the processes for extracting new, virgin resources use huge amounts of energy and create a lot of waste (recycling 100 kg of aluminum uses approximately 10 times less energy and creates hardly any waste).

It is time to accept our responsibilities, to take part and to discover better and more effective ways to use our resources to ensure a better future for everybody.
